Be kind, use the app for what it's for, and don't rely on it for emergencies.
NuWay is a compass-style navigation companion, not a survival tool. Always keep your own judgment and safety in the loop when walking in unfamiliar places.
Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using the NuWay mobile application ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please don't use the app.
What the app does
NuWay is a compass-style travel companion for iPhone and Apple Watch. It shows a 3D pointer and a distance reading toward places you save, and it helps you discover nearby points of interest through an integrated map and search.
NuWay is not a turn-by-turn navigation app, not a survival tool, and not a substitute for local maps, official signage, emergency services, or common sense. The compass arrow indicates the straight-line direction to a destination and does not account for roads, obstacles, private property, water, terrain, traffic, or safety conditions along the way.
Your responsibility
You agree to use the app:
- Only in ways that are lawful in your location.
- With appropriate attention to your surroundings — no walking into traffic, water, or bad neighborhoods just because an arrow is pointing there.
- Not while operating a vehicle. NuWay is designed for walking.
- Without attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or its network traffic.
Accuracy
NuWay relies on your device's GPS, compass, and data provided by Apple Maps and Google Places. These services may be inaccurate, incomplete, or occasionally unavailable. Opening hours, ratings, photos, and other place details are provided by third parties and may be out of date. Always verify critical information (like whether a pharmacy is open or a road is passable) before relying on it.
Subscriptions and payments
Free tier
The free tier of NuWay allows you to save up to three places and organize them into one folder. The core compass, Explore map, and Apple Watch companion are available on the free tier.
Premium
Premium unlocks unlimited places and folders, rich place details (photos, opening hours, ratings), all regional skins, all compass styles, walking time, ETA, and priority support.
Premium is offered as a monthly or annual subscription through Apple's App Store. A 14-day free trial is available for new subscribers. After the trial, your chosen plan will be charged to your Apple ID unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their App Store terms.
Intellectual property
NuWay, the NuWay name, logo, visual design, and app content are the property of the developer and protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. Places you save and content you create inside the app belong to you.
Third-party services
NuWay integrates with services operated by Apple (MapKit, StoreKit, iCloud) and Google (Places API). Your use of features that rely on these services is also subject to their respective terms. We're not responsible for changes those services make to their policies, pricing, or availability.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or non-infringement. We don't promise the app will be free of bugs or that every place in the Explore map is current or correct.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of NuWay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profit, data, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the app (or the relevant Premium subscription period) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Termination
You can stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to Premium features if you materially violate these Terms or use the app in a way that harms other users, the service, or third parties.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are significant, we'll surface a notice in the app. Continued use of the app after updated Terms take effect means you accept the changes.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
